The Loden Group is certified through the State
of Arizona, Department of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) to
provide Habilitation, Respite and Attendant Care services to
children with developmental challenges. These services are provided
in the child's natural environment including their home and
community. Habilitation services provide a child with
opportunities broken down to meet their individual learning styles
in the areas of communication, cognitive, motor, social and
self-help skills. Respite services provides short-term qualified
supervision to give a child's caregiver relief with the knowledge
that their child is being well cared for.
The Loden Group
employs and trains qualified individuals, matching them to the
specific needs of our clients. Our employees not only meet the
standards set forth by the State of Arizona, but also
participate in an in-depth training program. For more
information about our Behavioral Architecture ™program, visit the
"program" page.
The Loden Group is dedicated to understanding
the needs of our clients and their families. We offer families
the supports and resources* necessary to be active participants in
their child's therapeutic process. The Loden Group strives to
empower families so that they may have the strategies and confidence
to help their children reach their greatest potential.
Once a family chooses The Loden Group as their
habilitation/respite/attendant care service provider, the process is
quite simple while the programming is quite
comprehensive.
The Loden Group offers two different choices for
habilitation programs. Families will have the option to choose the program that best
meets the needs, expectations and commitment levels of their child
and family. The first
will be a “Traditional Habilitation
Program,” and the second will be an“ABA Intensive
Habilitation Program.” These titles and program
options are exclusive to The Loden Group and both are utilized under
DDD’s regular habilitation service. Both programs will follow
all DDD guidelines, rules, regulations and service specifications.
The ABA program will however involve a
commitment from The Loden Group that far surpasses that required by
DDD. Given our commitment to provide support and oversight that DDD
does not reimburse, we have been permitted to require a commitment
on the part of families. This commitment is not a monetary one, but
one of active involvement on the part of the families, not unlike
any family commitment asked for by nationally and internationally
acclaimed private ABA
programs.
Please be assured
that if you do not feel that your family can commit to the ABA
guidelines, we will still provide the highest quality Traditional
program that meets the individual challenges of your child. This
program will be written more as life-skills teaching and will not
require the intensive data that an ABA program requires. It will only
require the State minimum requirement for data and record keeping.
The traditional program will include a one-hour initial assessment
and 60-minute initial program implementation support meeting that
the State does not
require.
1. A one-hour initial assessment to
determine family priorities and concerns, your child's
strengths and challenges and goal development. 2. An 8-hour
Behavioral Architecture™ training at our office. Attendance is part
of the program training. 3. The option to attend a 4-hour
data-taking seminar at our office. 4. A one-hour training in your
home with your consultant on your child's individual written program
and teaching strategies. 5. Monthly "advanced-topic" seminars at
our office. 6. Ongoing review and program updates by your
consultant. Frequency of consultant visits is based on the number of
habilitation hours utilized through The Loden Group per month.
Due to the limited number of qualified personnel to lead these
visits, The Loden Group has two visit plans.
For families not wishing to come to the
office for follow-ups, families billing more than 60 habilitation
hours per month will receive a home visit once per quarter (every
three months). For families billing 30-59 hours of habilitation per
month, they will receive a home visit semi-annually (twice per
year). For families billing less than 20 hours per month, they will
receive a goal review in their home on a yearly basis.
For families willing to travel to the office and
wanting a more intensive ABA program, the current breakdown
is: 60 or more hours of habilitation per
month = one consultant
visit every 6 weeks 45-59 hours of habilitation per
month
= one consultant visit every 9 weeks 30-44 hours of habilitation
per
month
= one consultant visit every 12 weeks 10-29 hours of habilitation
per
month
= one consultant visit every 6 months Less than 10 hours of
habilitation per month =one consultant visit per
year
It is important to note
for families wishing an ABA habilitation program we may or may not
have trained, well seasoned habilitation providers available.
Providers are matched by location, schedule and availability.
The Loden Group does it's best to recruit and train providers but
CAN NOT guarantee level of training or availability of ABA providers
for programs.
Initial assessments for all habilitation
programs are done in our office. Program trainings are done in
the home with family and providers present. In an effort to
give more support, we have a senior provider that came come out to
the house through habilitation hours to help in the initial
stages of your child's program.
*Program materials such as program
notebooks, ongoing data collection material, items for individual
programs and PECS pictures are the responsibility of the family. The
Loden Group's resources includes, but not limited to, knowledge,
strategies, articles, books, direction to websites and other
professionals that will be helpful in your child's program.
