WHO DO WE HELP? The
Loden Group helps children with developmental, behavioral and
learning challenges. The children we help often have a formal
diagnosis, though one is not necessary to utilize our
services. Some of the formal diagnoses that we are
currently working with include ADHD/ADD, Asperger’s,
Apraxia, Autism, Bipolar Disorder, Dyslexia, Down’s Syndrome,
Eating Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Oppositional
Defiant Disorder, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, William’s
Syndrome, Tourette Syndrome, Semantic/Pragmatic Disorder and
more.
The Loden Group is certified through the State of
Arizona, Department of Developmental Disabilities to provide
Habilitation, Respite and Attendant Care services. There are
program options for both children who do and do not qualify for DDD
services. HOW DO WE
HELP? For Habilitation programs, we begin by meeting with
the parents and getting a developmental background along with
discussion of the current issues that led them to The Loden
Group. Then we meet with the child, working hands-on with
younger children and talking/interviewing older children
(teens). Together with the family’s input, we write
goals and then The Loden Group will write the intervention plan
based on your child and the goals. For home-based
programs, once your child’s plan is written, your consultant will
come train your family and any related providers how to implement
the strategies on a daily basis. For school assistance,
the consultant will observe your child in the school setting on one
or more occasions. You, the consultant, and the school team
then meet to go over strategies that will help your child succeed in
the school environment. Your consultant will also
help you with strategies to work on at home that will assist your
child to be more successful at school. You may also choose to have
your child’s program encompass home, school and the
community. Your consultant will program for each aspect of
your child’s life. All programs and strategies are written and
given to the family. Your consultant will also give you an
original set of the appropriate materials to collect data on your
child’s progress.
